Conrad Energy operates 58 gas powered generation sites across Great Britain and we use these to balance the nation’s energy requirements.

Gas engines are one of the ways we generate flexible power for the grid. Whilst these engines have a carbon footprint, our technology platform, iON+ helps to operate the sites in a highly efficient manner – activating the most suitable engine for the shortest possible time – minimising both cost and carbon. In this way, flexible power is used to plug the gaps in supply when renewables and other sources can’t meet demand.
