Following two seasons as Official Power Partner and Sleeve Sponsor of Premiership rugby club Harlequins, Conrad Energy is pleased to announce the renewal of its sponsorship deal.
For the next two years, the Conrad Energy logo will remain in pride of place on the sleeves of the Harlequins Men’s and Women’s shirts as well as on signage, LEDs and screens throughout Harlequins’ famous ground – The Stoop.
As part of the renewed agreement, Conrad Energy will deepen its partnership with Harlequins by helping the Club operate more sustainably while reducing costs and its carbon footprint. From October, Conrad Energy will also become the official power supplier to The Stoop, delivering 100% renewable energy to Harlequins’ home in the future.
The partnership will see both organisations explore a range of other energy efficiency initiatives at the stadium, including the installation of electric vehicle charging points and the introduction of solar power solutions.
This continues a key commercial partnership for Conrad Energy as the business continues to grow and diversify, providing renewable power as well as fast, flexible energy solutions to the grid when renewables are not able to meet demand.
That includes offering a range of electricity solutions for businesses of all sizes – whether buying or selling energy, with Conrad Energy now working with organisations across a number of different industries, including retail, agriculture, manufacturing, data centres and now sport.
Commenting on the renewal of the sponsorship deal, Tony O’Carroll, CEO of Conrad Energy, said:
“It is a source of pride for Conrad Energy to partner with Harlequins. The values the club has embraced since it was founded in 1866 – teamwork, performance, creativity, and commitment – are not only timeless but also align with our own approach.
We are delighted to be continuing and expanding this relationship. We look forward to supporting Harlequins as it continues to evolve and grow in the 21st century. Whether it is monitoring energy usage through our market-leading Match+ green energy product or directly supplying power via on- or near-site generation, Conrad Energy is proud to work with all of our commercial partners to power a changing world.”
Harlequins CEO Laurie Dalrymple added:
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Conrad Energy, a company that shares our ambition both on and off the pitch.
They have been a fantastic partner over the last two seasons and their desire to aid our sustainability journey by providing innovative energy solutions at The Stoop is an important step forward in helping us reduce costs and our carbon footprint.
Together, we look forward to continuing the work which will help drive our shared sustainability ambitions.”
