Larport solar farm is a shining example of the power of partnerships, and what is possible to achieve in both biodiversity net gain and community engagement.
Filmed in conjunction with our partners BNP Paribas and Ethical Power, this film captures the essence of how we develop projects to support the ESG goals of our clients, including how long it can take between opening conversations with a client about their needs and having an energized asset to meet them. Solutions like these suit organisations who are serious about their long-term impact.
Karen Robson, Chief Sourcing Officer for BNP Paribas, highlights the importance of sustainability in the long-term future of the bank. Jack Bishop, Commercial Director of Ethical Power, lists some of the vital biodiversity enhancing measures we built into the design to maximise the site’s net gain.
George Hall, our Head of Solar at the time, explains how a small change in the panels’ angle allowed for a greater density of panels on the site, amplifying the opportunity for all stakeholders. He goes on to explain the vital importance of meaningful community engagement.
Larport is a very special site for us, being the first solar farm that we have seen through from start to finish. It will, as George said, form a blueprint for future sites.
