KX Power has entrusted us with optimising their 80MW/160MWh battery storage project at Immingham, a key milestone in their expanding portfolio of longer-duration storage assets.
At the heart of this collaboration is Conrad Energy’s advanced trading and optimisation platform, iON+. Designed to monitor and respond dynamically to trading, balancing, flexibility, and frequency markets, iON+ ensures that the storage capacity of the Immingham battery is deployed in the right market, at the right time, and for the ideal duration. This strategic approach not only maximises profitability but also enhances the operational longevity of the system.
KX Power is a trailblazer in the development of longer-duration storage solutions, leading the way with their commitment to 2-hour+ storage projects. The Immingham battery site is a testament to their innovative approach and represents a significant advancement in providing stability and flexibility to the GB energy network.
