Part of our way of doing business is to create a positive impact on the lives around our projects, helping local communities to thrive.
We are delighted to announce the Conrad Energy Community Fund, which was set up earlier this year to help community groups and charities nationwide, has awarded its’ first series of grants. The fund will support at least 10 projects, each of which is close to our sites and has been nominated by one of our people.
One of our first grant recipients is the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire division of The Wildlife Trust, which for over 60 years has been protecting special places for nature to thrive and flourish. Conrad Energy recognises the value of nature reserves in securing a better future for wildlife and is delighted to support one of the 46 branches of the Trust with a grant to cover tools and fencing repairs at their Warburg Nature Reserve.
The Conrad Energy Community Fund grant will help enable the Trust, who look after over 80 nature reserves throughout the three counties, to give nature a helping hand through careful management, support of declining species, habitat creation and improvement, and species monitoring schemes.
